The gravity of my responsibility for the safety of all my clients, our families, my business, and the community we live in, has weighed heavily on me every day of late, and definitely in regard to re-opening alia salon and the implications involved.
At this moment, I am unable to give a definite date when the salon will open again. Moving forward, I need to figure out the best protocols, appropriate PPE, and how to adequately time each appointment for everyone’s safety. This will require even more patience, time, and responsibility from all of us. I do plan to start slowly, in stages with limited hours, as we see how this new reality will play out. I’m not quite comfortable opening on the first day that the rules relax and I am asking for a grace period to see how this new system will work.
Please know that my associate, Pamela, will be notifying you to re-book clients with cancelled appointments in the same chronological order as they were cancelled. We have over 165 clients to reschedule from the beginning of this situation until now. If it is your turn, you will receive a “booking code” from Pamela with comprehensive information on my new safety protocols and a request to book promptly so that she may move onto the next group of cancelled clients. I will work my hardest to accommodate all re-schedules over the summer.
I do understand and respect your choice to go elsewhere for a haircut. I know there will be many stylists re-opening on the first day possible and that may be the right choice for you.
I am so lucky, thankful, and blessed that my clients have been a source of joy and friendship for many, many years and I cherish that. I hope that, in turn, you can understand where I’m coming from and have patience with my process. Thank you for being so wonderful to me during this time, and as we move forward.
I respect and love you all,
